Bonneville Salt Flats(UT), a amazing stop when you traveling between Salt Lake City and Nevada. You will enjoy this life time experience with the kids. The salt Flats is right on the state border of Nevada and Utah and it's on the Utah side. If you are heading to Salt Lake City and you will see a large white flat basin down the hill after the final turn before the last small casino town West Wendover. And the salt flats will continue along Interstate 80 for about 60 miles. The best way to reach this beautiful salt flat is take the first or second exit when you cross the state border to Utah from Nevada and follow the sign to Bonneville Salt Flats International Speedway. It's about 5 miles driving from the exit and you will reach the end of the road and a sign shows Bonneville Salt Flats International Speedway. You may take a quick stop here and take a picture and continue to drive down to the salt flats. Yes, you can keep driving on the salt flat, sound amazing right! When you keep diving north east and you will and lake next to the dam like long structure. There is beautiful clear water you can swim in. The water is very dense and salty and you really float same as in the dead sea. If you go farther to the east and you will reach water channel salt flats. Some local people may go kayaking here. If you stay here over night be sure to visit the town West Wendover NV. It's just same as those towns all around the border of Nevada allow visitors to enjoy their famous casinos, buffets and entertainment. You can also find the free campground on the hill next to the salt flats (Salt Campsite).
